Voter Registration and Voter Confidentiality

To register to vote in Colorado, you must be:
- A United States citizen;
- 16 years old; and
- A resident in your precinct.
When registering for the first time, you must provide either a copy of your valid ID, your Colorado Driver's License number, Colorado State ID card number, or the last four digits of your social security number. The following groups are not required to provide a copy of their ID:
- Individuals with a disability
- Individuals 65 years or older
- Military and overseas voters
This "home base" does not need to be an actual residential address and may be any physical location, including a park, vacant lot, shelter or commercial location.
Students, military and overseas voters do not gain or lose residency because of an absence from the state. Military and overseas voters may register with his or her last known address in Colorado, even if the person no longer owns or lives in the residence.

Voter Record Confidentiality Form
Use this form to request that your address included in any public records required to be made, maintained, or kept pursuant to section 1-2-227, 1-2-301, and 24-6-202, C.R.S. be kept confidential. Voter Confidentiality Overview
Fill out the voter confidentiality form, and pay $5.00 (cash or check) for the statutorily required processing fee, return completed form in person to the Elections Division at 1 DesCombes Drive. This will remove your information from future lists, but will not remove it from past elections already released.
