DESCRIPTIONAdopters can include individuals, civic organizations, garden clubs, school groups, scouts, and employee associations or church groups.
TIME COMMITMENT & SCHEDULEMinimum one year commitment with an opportunity to renew.
TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIESAdopt a portion and/or all of an open space and trail or park. Pick up trash at least once every three months (orange trash bags and vests provided).
TRAINING, SUPERVISION & SUPPORTNo training required. Supervision is the responsibility of the adoptive group. A sign will be posted near the adopted area in recognition of the group or organization.
REQUIREMENTS
(i.e. valid driver's license,
age limit, application required)
Agree to clean up litter along a park or in a section or all of an open space and trail area. Agreement and liability waiver required. Open to ages 12 and up. Minors must have adult supervision. Participants must sign a one page waiver (Parental signature required for volunteers younger than age 18). Report volunteer hours to Contact Person.
