Contact information and application
This work is very important to the Center and we hope to make it
fulfilling, rewarding, and fun for you!
How to get started and how the
volunteer process works:
- Each perspective volunteer must attend a volunteer orientation. The
orientation is mandatory because of the information it provides and also allows
you to become comfortable with the Center, our programs, and staff. See
our orientation dates and sign up if you're interested.
- At the orientation, each perspective volunteer
will be given a job description of each position, availability sheet, volunteer
procedures, an application, and a tour of the facility.
- Once the application is submitted, a background
check will be performed. Once cleared, you will be contacted by the
volunteer coordinator to arrange for training and work hours.
- Training will be given by the volunteer
coordinator before your work assignment begins. Depending on the volunteer
position, the training may last one to three hours. Schedule of times is
flexible.
