Teen Adventure Series This monthly series is brought to you through a cooperative effort by the cities  of Broomfield, Northglenn, Thornton, Commerce City, and Hyland Hills. All trips are open to youth and are supervised by trained staff. Before each trip participants will meet at the Paul Derda Recreation Center and be transported to meet with the rest of the cities. Please be on time for departure! For ages 11–17 years.

Skiing & Snowboard Trip at Eldora
Join us on President’s day at Eldorado Mountain Ski resort. We will meet at PDRC at 6:30am on Monday morning and head to Eldorado for a full day of skiing or snowboarding. Bring money for lunch.
Pre - registration by February 14th is required.

Avalanche Game & Lunch
Enjoy a Saturday by watching the Colorado Avalanche take on the Edmonton Oilers at the Pepsi Center. Fee includes transportation, game ticket, food voucher for lunch at the Pepsi Center, and supervision.

Unser Racing & Old Chicago
Unser Racing is a state-of-the-art indoor go-karting race track and by registering through Teen Adventure kids will get an ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP ($50 value), specialized training on and off the track, and 2 races. After go-karting we will head over to Old Chicago’s for pizza and soda.

Paint Ball

White Water Rafting
Enjoy on a 1/3-day trip as you ride the waves in with Clear Creek Rafting Company. Float past an historic waterwheel, drop over Castle Falls, paddle though Mountain Lion, then hold on tight for Mr. Twister. It’s the perfect introduction to whitewater!
Participants need to wear swimsuit attire and appropriate footwear. Please bring a sack lunch or money to stop at Subway on the river.

Rock Climbing
Come with us to Red Rock Canyon in Colorado Springs to outdoor rock climb. This 6-hour lesson and experience is open to any level of climber from beginner to advanced. Pack a lunch and snacks and wear good shoes. All equipment is provided.

Bunk With the Beast
This summertime safari camp, complete with large canvas safari tents, cots, lanterns and a campfire is right in the middle of Primate Panorama. Included will be a private tour of the zoo after hours with night-vision and animal encounters, a cookout dinner, campfire treats, full breakfast, and a CampOUT souvenir.

Alive at 25

The “Alive at 25” course is designed to be an early intervention program to help prevent traffic violations, collisions, and/or fatalities. Class is state approved for obtaining permit at age 15 ½ years. The focus is to help young drivers adopt safer driving practices, take responsibility for their behavior in various driving situations, and to be aware of many of the typical driving hazards. Court referred participants pay $50, Non Court-Ordered, insurance discounts, or for driving permits pay $35. Registration will start 30 minutes prior to class. Note: Payable by CASH ONLY day of class. Class day registration begins at 8 a.m., and CASH only is accepted. For ages 15 - 24 years old.

Advanced Care Babysitting Course
This course is designed to give the knowledge necessary for first time babysitters 11-14 years of age to be responsible for young children and includes a babysitting certificate and CPR/First Aid certification thru American Heart Association. The skills covered are CPR/First Aid, growth and development, prevention and personal safety, discipline, fire safety and basic child care feeding, diapering and bathing.
Students need to bring a sack lunch, snack, and a drink. Payable by CHECK only to Advanced Care.
