How far do I swim, bike and
run?
Our Mini Triathlon involves swimming,
road biking and running in that order. Participants will start by swimming
300 yards (12 lengths) in the Community Center indoor pool. Participants
will then bike a 5.5 mile loop twice for a total of 11 miles. Finally,
participants will run or walk 2 miles on paths through neighborhoods to
the finish line at the Bay Aquatic Park.
When do I get my shirt and bib?
Begins Wednesday, June 6th at 6pm at the Broomfield
Community Center. There will be a Race Info Meeting, Wednesday, June 6th
from 5:30-6 p.m. Packet pickup will follow and continue through
Saturday, June 11th (See
Community Center Hours.) All participants receive a t-shirt and 2 free
tickets that can be used at The Bay the day of the Triathlon. The Bay
will open at 10 a.m.
Can I pick up my packet on
race day? Yep! Information, heating, and late packet pick up
will be held in the gymnasium inside the Community Center the day of the
event.
How old do you have to be?
The Mini HaHa Triathlon is designed for people 14 years and older.
What if my child wants to participate, but is
younger than 14 years old?
You're in luck! We now offer a MiniMini Haha
Triathlon for Kids! Kids 6-13 years old can participate in a mini
version of the great original Triathlon!
Do I get a
warm-up?
On Triathlon Day, the pool and transition area
will open at 6:30 a.m. for warm-up and transition area set-up. The warm-up
and transition area will close at 7:15 a.m. for the race start. Athletes
will not be allowed into the transition area after 7:30 a.m. in order to
give all athletes the easiest transition experience possible. Swimming
heats will begin at 7:30 a.m. and will start every 10 minutes thereafter.
Why do I have to give my
swim time?
For the Mini HaHa event, swimmers will be heated fastest to slowest
according to your estimated swim time entered on your registration form.

Broomfield Police
help at major intersections to ensure the
safety of athletes, drivers and pedestrians. Signs are posted along the
course alerting drivers of the event and cones guide the cyclists. All
traffic laws must be obeyed and helmets are required. Volunteers are
needed at water stations to help guide and cheer on participants. They
receive a t-shirt and Bay
entry.
Will I
get an award?

first 3 finishers in each age group (14-19, 20-24,
25-29, 30-34, 35-40,
