Community CPR, First Aid and AED

This American Red Cross Community First Aid and CPR course teaches individuals, 13 years and older, how to respond to injuries and sudden illnesses. Emergency action principles, combining adult, child and infant CPR and other lifesaving techniques, with traditional first aid information and skills are taught. Please click here for more info.

 

TaeKwon Do

In this class all the 'stops' are pulled out! This class is focused on physical fitness and conditioning through the development of Tae Kwon Do techniques. It can be rigorous and fast paced. Students are guided beyond their own boundaries but only asked to give an all out 100% effort.

 

Will Making
A wonderful way to get a tough job finished! In a single, easy, and enjoyable session, you’ll complete a will, living will, medical power of attorney, financial power of attorney, and organ donor card, all with the help of licensed attorney, Rebecca L. Bennetti, and her staff. Cost includes all materials, witnessing, notarizing, individual review, and plenty of time for discussion and questions. Participants do not need to bring anything to class. NEW! Pet Safety & Emergency Response
This course will teach you to care for your animal before, during and after an emergency. Course includes coverage of: Injury prevention and disaster preparation, Personal Safety Precautions to help pet owners identify and minimize risks, a wide array of pet emergencies including bleeding and bite wounds, cardiac arrest, choking, burns, poisoning, trauma, and more. Advanced Care CPR Training, our instructors are professional educators and have extensive training in all aspects of emergency care, wilderness training and emergency evacuation. Beginning Guitar Class
Learn to play the guitar in 8 weeks! This enthusiastic guitar class will allow you to learn the basics of guitar in a group setting at an affordable rate. You will learn basic chords, chord structure, basic music theory, popular songs, and how to read tablature. This fun and informative class will be taught by David Potter, who has been a professional guitar player for over 25 years. Please bring guitar, picks, and music stand. Insect Detectives: Bug Hunt
It’s time to grab a net, a jar, and a magnifying class and see what you can discover about the secret lives of insects, spiders and their buggy relatives. Campers will also have the chance to investigate the Butterfly Pavilion’s outdoor exhibits, and earn an exclusive “Bug Badge.” Dress to be outside. /span>

Secrets of the Butterfly Pavilion

Butterfly Basics
Join us for an introduction to the wonderful world of butterflies. Begin your program with a fascinating slideshow about our tropical butterflies, learning about butterfly families, their lifecycles and behaviors. Wrap up the program with a tour through our tropical rainforest, seeking out and learning about butterflies and tropical plants. General admission included with program fee. Limited to 15 participants.
