Pre-Lifeguard Training
Participants learn the duties and responsibilities of becoming a professional lifeguard. This class will introduce you to the guidelines established by the American Red Cross for Lifeguard Training. During the class you work on the following skills: swim 300 yards continuously, swim 20 yards, surface dive to 10 ft, retrieve a 10 lb brick, swim 20 yards with the brick, and exit water within 1 min, 40 seconds. First Aid and CPR skills will be discussed. Upon enrollment into a full Lifeguard Training class with the City and County of Broomfield the registration fee for this class will be applied. For ages 15 years and over.

American Red Cross Lifeguard Training
Participants learn the duties and responsibilities of becoming a professional lifeguard. Participants are certified in First Aid, CPR-PR/AED, and Lifeguard Training. This class follows the guidelines established by the American Red Cross. To enroll in this class you must be 15 years of age by the last class date. Participants must attend all sessions. There are no exceptions. During the first class you must pass the following skills in order to continue the rest of the course: swim 300 yards continuously, swim 20 yards, surface dive to 10 ft, retrieve a 10 lb brick, swim 20 yards with the brick, and exit water within 1 min, 40 seconds.

CPR, First Aid, and AED FULL Class

This American Red Cross Community First Aid and CPR-PR course teaches individuals, how to respond to injuries and sudden illnesses. Emergency action principles, combining adult, child and infant CPR and other lifesaving techniques, with traditional first aid information and skills are taught. Please bring a sack lunch/dinner to all day classes. For ages 13 years and over.
