Friday and Saturday saw the official grand opening of Broomfield's 1STBANK Center with concerts by Furthur, made up of former members of the Grateful Dead. See photos from the event.
Furthur played to sell out audiences of more than 6,000 people both nights. The band brought with it a lot of former Grateful Dead fans, as band members Bob Weir and Phil Lesh used to be with Grateful Dead. The event also saw a Shakedown Street set up in one of the parking areas. The street is a vendor area named for a 1970s Grateful Dead song. See photos from the event.
