HHS
accepts applications for grant funds
Broomfield’s
Health and Human Services (HHS)
Department is accepting applications for grant awards to
private, non-profit agencies that provide services to
Broomfield
residents. Applications are due by Friday, March 27 at
5
p.m.
The available grant funds are for the calendar
year 2009, and will go to local non-profits for the
provision of services that benefit
Broomfield
residents. Applications may be downloaded from the
HHS
website at
www.broomfield.org/hhs/Operations.
Agencies
whose programs addressing health and human service needs
or service gaps within the
Broomfield
community may apply.
HHS
desires to use these funds to create partnerships with
community agencies.
The
grants will go to agencies for services that directly or
indirectly benefit
Broomfield
residents and/or the
Broomfield
community. Agencies that serve areas beyond the
City and
County
of
Broomfield
will be considered if they fit the requirements.
A committee of
HHS
staff and community representatives will evaluate the
grant applications. Criteria include services that are
cost effective, unique, and that fill a gap or need in
the community. Also considered is the agency’s
demonstrated quality assurance plan, the ability to
evaluate outcomes, and whether the agency has a history
of quality service provision and the ability to provide
services in the future.
