Residents asked to comment on plan
Residents
are invited to comment on a consolidated plan for 2009-2010
outlining the city’s housing and community development needs
and goals for projects that benefit those with low and
moderate incomes.
Those
who wish to comment on the draft plan should come Monday,
March 16 from 5:30
to 6:30 p.m.
to the Silver 2 Room of the
Broomfield
Senior
Center
or on Thursday, March 26 from 2:30
to 3:30 p.m.
in the Eisenhower Room of the Mamie Doud Eisenhower Public
Library.
The
plan and comments are required for
Broomfield
to be a recipient of federal Community Development Block
Grant (CDBG) funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and
Urban Development (HUD).
The
Senior
Center
is located at
280
Lamar St.,
and the library is located at
3
Community Park Rd.
For
the 2009-2010 funding period,
Broomfield
proposes funding of $100,000 for the Housing Rehabilitation
Program, $45,000 for the Mobile Home Repair Program, and
$7,950 for emergency stay hotel vouchers. A copy of the plan
