Police, Recreation Services, DocuVault
team up for shredding, fitness
The
Broomfield Police Department,
Broomfield Recreation Services and
DocuVault
are teaming up for a “Shred and Shed”
activity to help residents prevent identity
theft and shape up for summer.
On
Saturday, May 10, from 1
to
4 p.m.
at the
Broomfield
Community
Center,
residents who bring their unwanted,
identity-bearing documents to be shredded
can also get a free exercise class.
Documents
that could leave residents in danger of
identity theft are the target for this
event. Participants can load sensitive
documents into file size boxes and bring
them to the Community Center,
280 Lamar
Street,
to be released to DocuVault for shredding.
Up to five boxes will be accepted at no
charge.
After the first five, a donation of
$5 per box will go to the Broomfield
Community Foundation.
Free
exercise classes include Yoga starting at
1:30 p.m.; a Boot Camp Preview or Nordic
Walking beginning at 1:30; an outside
Pilates class starting at 3 p.m. and another
Bootcamp Preview or Nordic Walking at 3 p.m.
