Broomfield County is one of the newest City and Counties in the nation and the newest in Colorado. It had been 100 years ago since there was a new City and County in Colorado…that was Denver County.

We take pride in our beautiful city and all that it has to offer. Our web site is a reflection of my own philosophy about maintaining responsible communication with our citizens and with all those who visit us each day through the Internet.

Broomfield is a city with a strong sense of unity, pride and identity, as a modern city, inspired by its spirit. Planning that balances residential and commercial land use, with generous open space, parks and natural areas, characterize us. Our residents enjoy a full array of employment opportunities, recreational and human services.

With our breathtaking views of the mountains, world class shopping and state of the art technology campus close by, Broomfield citizens enjoy a sense of community that makes our city a special place to live or visit.

We are especially proud of the effort that has gone into creating our new county. Our one-stop-shopping approach to the delivery of state, municipal, county and district court services is unsurpassed in the region. Our new library and adjacent auditorium is a testament to our dedication to expanding educational and cultural opportunities for our children and families. Our new health and human services department reflects progressive reforms in health care management including an emphasis on wellness, prevention and public-private partnerships with community-based organizations.
