Children's Services

The Children's Library serves readers from birth to middle school/junior high age, and the people who work with them, i.e. family members, child care providers, teachers, scout leaders and religious education school teachers.

It is staffed all hours that the library is open, using 2 full-time children's librarians, several assistant librarians, and volunteers. It may be reached directly by calling 720.887.2315.Services offered by the Children's Library are:

• Reference and reader's advisory service in person or by telephone
• Library tours
• Regular and special story hours
• Programs and activites for children and families
• Library instruction for schools, homeschoolers, and scout badge projects.

Library Hours:

Monday - Thursday              9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Friday - Saturday                 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Sunday                               1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

 

Children's Collection

The Children's Collection consists of the following main areas:

• Juvenile Fiction - chapter books

• Juvenile Non-Fiction- informational books

• Easy Picture Books - stories for all ages

• Magazines

• Reference- includes general and specialized encyclopedias, atlases, dictionaries, and indexes to children's literature
