Reference and Current Events

	General Reference Center Gold provides access to hundreds of full text periodicals, newspapers, general interest sources and major reference books.
	NewsBank contains information from newspapers and newswires including the Daily Camera, Denver Post, Rocky Mountain News, and the Broomfield Enterprise. Features include special reports and current events-hot topics. NewsBank also covers of U.S. and international news, business, lifestyle, entertainment, sports, and science and technology from familiar magazines such as Time, Fortune and Popular Science.
	Academic Search Elite is a scholarly, multi-disciplinary, full-text database which contains the full text for more than 2,000 journals.  More than 140 journals have PDF images dating back to 1985.  The database includes PDF images for the great majority of journals; many of these PDFs are native (searchable) or scanned-in-color.  Journals are included for social sciences, humanities, education, computer sciences, engineering, physics, chemistry, language and linguistics, arts & literature, medical sciences, ethnic studies, etc.
	The World Book Online Reference Center contains every article from the 22-volume print set plus thousands more. It also features multimedia, maps, editor-reviewed websites, Special Reports, and Back in Time (a you-are-there chronicle of events from the World Book Year Book that begins in 1922 and unfolds in the distinctive voice and perspective of each successive year). 	The CIA World Factbook contains information on the world's countries, including politics, military expenditures, populations, economics, and much more. It contains helpful information for students, travelers, journalists, and business people.
	Encyclopedia Americana is a Grolier Encyclopedia suitable for students and adults.
	La Nueva Enciclopedia Cumbre is the only full-length online encyclopedia conceived and developed with the Spanish-speaking peoples of the Americas as its focus.
	AskColorado is a free online information service provided by Colorado libraries. Chat live with a librarian anytime, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week except major holidays. Mamie Doud Eisenhower Public Library participates in this program.
	Colorado Virtual Library is a cooperative project of the Colorado State Library and the Colorado library community to provide access to other libraries collections, resources for kid and teachers, and AskColorado. This website also provides digital collections, historic papers, geospatial data and interlibrary loan.
