Teen volunteer opportunities are available through the Teen Advisory Board (see below) or working with the Young Adult Librarian. Volunteers are usually assigned a two-hour shift per week. Assignments include general office work such as photocopying, filing, labeling books or other special projects.

Application

To submit an application for volunteering, please print and fill out the City and County Student Volunteer Application Form and the Teen Volunteer Form. Applications can be dropped off at the Teen Zone Desk and a staff member will contact you.

Teen Advisory Board (TAB)
Middle school and high school students are invited to join the Teen Advisory Board. TAB works with library staff to plan and run monthly teen programs and the summer reading program. TAB also makes recommendations for books, music, and movies for the library to purchase.  TAB also assists in producing the Teen Zone Newsletter, The 411.

Meetings
Meetings are on the 1st and 3rd Monday of every month at 4 p.m. in the first floor conference room. TAB also counts as volunteer hours for community service.

To join, stop by the Teen Zone desk and pick up an application form.
