Colorado Youth Adventures
Join us for our monthly trips with youth from around the Metro area.These trips are offered in cooperation with the City of Broomfield, Hyland Hills Recreation District, City of Englewood, Commerce City, City of Brighton, and Estes Valley Recreation and Parks. These unique monthly trips offer your youth with the opportunity to meet youth from around the Metro area and participate in unique trips offered by the Colorado Youth Adventures.

Skiing & Snowboard Trip at Eldora
Join us on President’s Day at Eldora Mountain Ski Resort. We will meet at the Northglenn Recreation Center at 6:30 a.m. on Monday morning and head to Eldora for a full day of skiing or snowboarding. Bring money for lunch. Pre-registration by February 6 is required. Participants must be 12 years or older for this trip!

Estes Park: Stanley Hotel Tour, YMCA of the Rockies (Snowshoeing)
Join us today as we take a day trip up to Estes Park. We will begin our day with some Snowshoeing in Rocky Mountain National Park. Please pack a lunch today as we will eat on the trail. After Lunch we will head to the Stanley Hotel for an out of this world “Haunted Tour!”

BackStory Theatre Academy
Now’s the time! Step into the spotlight!
Registration for BackStory classes must be done in person, not online. Please register directly through the Broomfield Community Center or the Paul Derda Recreation Center. Creative Play
Parents and toddlers will love to explore drama together in this creative play-based class. Acting is playing and toddlers are great actors! The class will assist with developing your toddler’s oral language, listening, fine and large motor, coordination, classroom, and social skills while fostering a love for imaginative play. Different themes such as the zoo, ocean, farm, and forest will be explored each week.

Playful Dramatics: Dr. Seuss
Come explore drama through theatre exercises, storytelling, and playmaking. Young imaginations will grow as students play-act a variety of Dr. Seuss stories. Storytelling will be explored through improvisation using costumes, props, movement, and music. There will be a parent sharing at BCC on the last day of class.

For the following Make Believe and Beyond, Performance Exploration, and Performance Workshop classes, memorization of lines is required. Costumes will be provided. The final day of each class will be held at the Broomfield Auditorium with a performance following. An additional $25 performance fee is due on the first day of class. 

BackStory Make Believe and Beyond Classes
Students will develop the basics of acting through theatre exercises and developing an improvised script of these classic stories to perform for family and friends. Minimal memorization is required because the students are helping to create the plot line and what the characters will say in the play. These beginning theatre classes will help to build strong and confident performers. They are sure to be full of fun and adventure! The $25 performance fee is due on the first day of class to the instructor.

How To Register?
Registration for all dance classes is easy. Late registrations are welcome. Just come to the first class and register at that time. No dancer is turned away! Questions are answered at the first class before the tuition is collected. Sorry, no refunds or discounts for missed classes. Please make checks payable to Taps ‘N Toes.
What To Wear? 
Comfortable clothing including dance attire, sweats, or shorts. Shoes can be ballet slippers, jazz shoes, or even tennis shoes will do. There are NO additional registration fees or costume costs. 

This class is designed for dancers who want to learn to dance tap, ballet, and jazz. We dance to Disney-type classics, fun oldies, and cute jazz numbers. The last class is a show to perform all of the numbers for parents and grandparents. Class meets in the fitness room. Remember, dance is for everyone!!

Youth Pottery 
Learn the art of hand-building a flower vase, mug, bowl or whatever you wish to create. All skill levels are welcome! A bag of clay, glaze and firing are included in the cost. For ages 6 - 12 years. Location: BCC.

Youth Taekwondo  
This class is open to all students, white through black belt for students under 12 years old, and any level, white through black belt. It is specifically oriented for the younger crowd and is less strenuous. This class develops Taekwondo techniques in a manner and pace suitable for kids. Jump Bunch
Jump Bunch introduces sports and fitness to your child in a hands-on setting. The program utilizes a different sport or activity each class. Jump Bunch builds coordination and interest in sports in a safe, non competitive environment. It also fosters a positive attitude so that children are eager to try new activities. Young Rembrandts® Preschool Drawing Class
Young students are so eager to learn and a joy to teach. Young Rembrandts® instructors provide a nurturing and strong learning environment that expands preschoolers’ image vocabulary as they draw familiar images such as fish, teddy bears, rainbows and cowboys. We’ll draw new lessons each week, concentrating on the skills of drawing and coloring while we develop fine motor skills, focus, listening, staying on task, patience and spatial organization.

My First Abrakadoodle® Art Class
This class introduces new art experiences to the youngest of doodlers. The focus is on exploration! Experiment with a wide variety of art materials designed to provide opportunities to touch, feel, hear, see and explore while building fine motor, language, creativity and cognitive skills.
