Youth Fitness
Youth Cardio Games
This drop-in program for kids 10 to 14 years includes 30 minutes of instructor-lead intervals and games on the treadmill, bike and/or elliptical, followed by 15 minutes of core work and stretching. Class meets on the back side of the track. Reservations are taken one day in advance at the front desk (303.460.6900). The program is free for PDRC Pass holders! Yoga for Children and Teens
We teach students how to listen to their bodies, deal with stress and relax. Classes teach mind/body health and balance and help to build strength, flexibility and self-esteem. Free to Recreation Pass Holders at the Paul Derda Recreation Center. Youth yoga punch cards available for drop-ins.

Age 2-5 years          Thu          3:30-4 p.m.
Age 6-10 years        Thu          4-4:45 p.m.
Age 11-15 years      Thu          4:45-5:30 p.m.

Fun 'n'  Fitness
This 45-minute class focuses on cardiovascular fitness, strength, and flexibility training through a variety of activities designed specifically for youth in a non-competitive environment. Jump Bunch
Jump Bunch is an internationally-acclaimed fitness program that utilizes a non-competitive sports and fitness curriculum to develop important skills such as hand-eye coordination, teamwork, and self-confidence, as well as teach kids to adopt a healthy lifestyle. This custom-built program for preschoolers will enhance your child's physical fitness and cognitive development. This program will teach a variety of sports, but we will focus on two sports or fitness activities to teach the kids.

Preschool Jump Bunch
Children have seemingly endless energy, so let your child express that in a fun, safe, and controlled learning environment. Jump Bunch for Preschoolers takes learning to the next level with over 75 unique lesson plans designed to stimulate your child’s mind while exercising their body. In addition to learning about nutrition and healthy living habits, weekly activities enhance hand-eye coordination, color and shape recognition, fine and gross motor skill development, self-confidence and much more. Classes at this age remain non-competitive and focus on the abilities and successes of each individual child. Our high-praise teaching method ensures that every kid wins! For ages 3 to 5 years at the PDRC Gymnasium.

Parent-Tot Jump Bunch
With Parent-Tot Jump Bunch, enjoy hands-on interaction with your child as they learn and grow with this highly-acclaimed program built for children 18 months to 3 years of age. Trained coaches lead parents and children through a wide variety of sports and games geared to build balance, coordination and keep your toddler moving! This fun and creative program starts your child on a path to a healthy lifestyle, while enhancing the bond between child and parent. For ages 18 to 36 months at the PDRC Gymnasium.

School Age Jump Bunch
At this age, classes take learning to the next level by increasing the amount of detail and instruction with each lesson. With School Age Jump Bunch, students can expect, fun and in-depth lessons that focus on enhancing physical skills and cognitive development. Light competition is introduced as students learn the finer details of many sports and games. Lesson plans are adjusted for more difficult abilities and skills. However, this is still a high-praise learning environment and every child will leave feeling like a winner. For ages 5 to 8 years at the BCC Fitness Room.

Just For Girls!

This class is designed especially for 6th and 7th grade girls. We will focus on exercise, movement, nutrition, stress relief, building self-esteem and creating healthy habits that will last a lifetime. Each girl will receive a journal to help her incorporate a home connection with the topics that will be covered in class. Girls will also have the option to receive their weight room certification during the course to ensure their success after the course ends.  View current class listings.

Youth Taekwondo  
Youth Taekwondo is open to all students, white through black belt for students under 12 years old, and any level, white through black belt. It is specifically oriented for the younger crowd and is less strenuous. This class develops Taekwondo techniques in a manner and pace suitable for kids. For additional information refer to the Trinity Taekwondo website. Payable by check only to Trinity Taekwondo. For ages 6 to 12 years.

Flippity Fun and Fitness!
Fippity Fun and Fitness is an extension from our land fun-n-fitness class but all the activities are in the water! This class will focus on cardiovascular fitness, strength, and flexibility training through a variety of activities and games designed for youth in non-competitive environment. Every day there will be something new; swim clinics, water aerobics, noodles, fins, balls and swim toys! Bring your friends for fun together in the pool! Pre-requisites: Must be able to swim independently. This class is free to Pass Holders. We do require that you sign up for the class to reserve a spot. Please note that this class fills up! If your child cannot attend class, we ask that you give up the spot so that someone else May!

Youth Sports Performance
Classes lead by Personal Trainers who have specialized training with the young athlete. Activities will include strength training, agility drills, lateral movement, flexibility training, resistance running and more! You will also learn basic nutrition to properly fuel your body.
