All levels of students are welcome to experience this exciting medium. Work with watercolor and acrylic paints to create beautiful watercolor like art work that can be used to make cards or just to enjoy. Supplies are included.

Crochet 101 (Beginning Crochet)
Learn the basics of crocheting or improve your skills with the help of an experienced instructor. Learn basic crochet terms that will prepare you to read patterns. With a few basic stitches you will be able to crochet a scarf or blanket. Please bring a Susan Bates #8H or #9I hook and light color yarn either “Love This Yarn” at Hobby Lobby or “Love It” from Red Heart at Walmart.

Art with Grandparents
Young children pair up with a grandparent or special adult for this fun art class. Our special teams of two will explore art together using a wide variety of art materials to create a masterpiece to take home, each week! Only high quality and non-toxic materials will be used. There is a $10 supply fee due the first day of class.

The FUNdamentals of Art
This class will explore the elements art through drawing, painting, sculpting and more. Each class will feature a project inspired by an amazing artist. NEW! BackStory Theatre  Presents
Acting is fun for adults too! BackStory Theatre Academy is pleased to announce a series of classes and performance opportunities for the adults in our community! Registration for BackStory’s programs must be done in person at the Broomfield Community Center or the Paul Derda Recreation Center. Checks should be made payable to BackStory Theatre. Family Drama: Multi-generational Fun!
This class will be for pre-schoolers to enjoy with their parents and/or grandparents! Come explore drama through theatre exercises, storytelling, and playmaking. We will play-act a variety of stories through improvisation using costumes and props. The class is sure to be full of fun, adventure, and happy imaginations!

Beginning Adult Guitar Classes
Learn to play the guitar in eight weeks! This enthusiastic guitar class will allow you to learn the basics of guitar in a group setting at an affordable rate. You will learn basic chords, chord structure, basic music theory, popular songs, and
how to read tablature. Taught by David Potter, a professional guitar player for over 25 years. Bring guitar, picks, and music stand. Preschool Morning Nature Walks
These walks are designed especially for preschoolers and their guardians. Take a walk with naturalists through Broomfield’s open space areas. Fishing Derby

The Broomfield Open Space Foundation (BOSF) in cooperation with the City and County of Broomfield and Colorado Parks & Wildlife is sponsoring a Free Kids Fishing Derby.
