Broomfield Days Open

Join us for a beautiful summer afternoon at the Broadlands Golf Course. Proceeds of the tournament benefit enhancing quality of life for Seniors. Don’t miss out on this exciting event for a Shotgun (a four-person scramble tournament.). Sign up for the event of the summer. Contact Ben Vagher at 303-466-1657 for more information.  Shotgun tees times start at 1pm Friday afternoon with lots of fun and prizes.  The individual and team fee includes green fees, cart fee, practice balls, tees, and a GREAT TIME.

Friday Night Meet the Sponsor's Poker Run/Cruise-In
Friday, September 16, 2016, 6–10 pm
To celebrate our 14th Annual Rockin’ Seniors Cool Classic Car Show, we invite you to join us for our first ever Meet the Sponsor’s Poker Run/Cruise In. All locations are yet to be determined and information will be available on the Broomfield Days website as soon as we have it confirmed. However, this is how the event runs.  You start at one location and will drive to five of our participating sponsors. You will get the opportunity to meet the sponsors, see their business, get a playing card, and maybe even a freebee or two. After visiting all five sponsors, you will return with your five cards, to a designated location where it will be determined who has the winning poker hand, and prizes awarded. All participants, that drive their cool classic car will be given three additional tickets for the Saturday, September 17, 2016 Rockin’ Seniors Cool Classic Car Show raffle. 14th Annual Rockin’ Seniors Cool Classic Car Show
Come out and join in the fun. This show benefits Senior Resources of Broomfield, Inc. programs and services. We are asking for a $25 donation to pre-register your cool classic vehicle, or $30 the day of the show. Pre-registration ends on September 10, 2016. Your registration gets you a cool goodie bag, original show t-shirt, dash plaque, and lots of fun.  Registration forms are available online (www.broomfield.org) or at the Broomfield Community Center. Don’t forget to come to the FREE Sponsor’s Poker Run/Cruise-In on Friday, September 16, 2016 from 6-10 p.m. For more information, call Senior Services at 303.464.5526, or the organizers Rick and Kathy, at 303.465.2331. Living in Balance
Friday, October 21, 2016 from 8 am–1:30 pm
You are invited to the fourth annual Living in Balance event! Open to adults planning for the future or piecing it together right now. The day includes a vendor fair of local providers for information and resources, and workshops focusing on nutrition, physical fitness and lifelong learning. Come for what interests you or stay for the entire day, breakfast and lunch included. Transportation  is available for residents 60 years of age and older by reservation only; please call 303.464.5534. In home care may be provided for your loved one, qualifications apply; please call 303.464.5529 for more information. For additional event information, please call 303.464.5526. Spooktacular
Saturday, October 29, 2016 from 11 am–2 pm 
You’ll have a hauntingly good time at the Broomfield Recreation Services’ Annual Spooktacular. The event is held at the 1STBANK Center. Come dressed in costume and bring a bag for your goodies. We will have carnival games, jumping castles, wagon rides, crafts, entertainment and don’t miss out on the “treat or suite-ing”. This event is guaranteed to be a treat for kids of all ages! Pre-registration is recommended, but not necessary.

Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony
Friday, December 2, 2016 at 6 pm
Be part of this annual community event when all of Broomfield welcomes the arrival of Santa Claus at the George DiCiero City and County Building. The air is filled with children caroling from the local schools, the Community Park trees are spectacular, the Mayor lights the community holiday tree, families can ride the holiday wagon ride, and children are able to talk to Santa. Bundle up and share in the Holiday Cheer! 

Talk to Santa
Saturday, December 3, 2016
If you are a resident of the City and County of Broomfield and you have a child between the ages of 2–8 years who would like to have a personal phone call from Santa Claus, please fill out the Talk to Santa form located at either Broomfield Recreation Center or online. Please have your child home during the hours noted on the form. In order to receive a personal phone call on Saturday, December 3, the form must be returned to the Community Center by Friday, December 2.

Student Art Show 
March 10–11, 2017
Each year, Broomfield Recreation Services and the Broomfield Council on the Arts and Humanities sponsor the Student Art Show. Open to students K–12 attending Broomfield area schools, the show is designed to give students an opportunity to display their work and allow the community a chance to view the quality artwork created by young artists in Broomfield. Students interested in participating in this show should speak with their school’s art teacher. There will be a reception on Friday, March 10 from 6:30–8:30 pm and the art show will be open on Saturday, March 11 from 9 am–3 pm.
