Mission Statement
Striving to enhance the quality of the environment and quality of life for citizens through implementing innovative technologies, improving and maintaining the community's water, wastewater, surface water, streets, parks, facilities, open space, cemeteries, and fleet resources in order to provide reliable, efficient, and excellent services.

About Public Works
Public Works employs over 150 full- and part-time staff with an annual operating budget exceeding $32 million. Public Works also administers numerous capital projects involving municipal buildings, streets, parks, and water and sewer facilities.

Divisions

Environmental Services provides laboratory services for the Water Treatment and Wastewater facilities, oversees recycling services, coordinates the Spring Cleanup and Household Hazardous Waste events, and provides support to the County Public Health Department on environmental health issues. 303.438.6363

Facilities Division is an internal support division that maintains and repairs all City-owned buildings.   303.464.5866 

Fleet Division is an internal support division that purchases and maintains Broomfield's fleet of vehicles and equipment and manages the waste oil collection program for Broomfield residents.   303.438.6336 

Parks Division maintains turf and landscaped areas, irrigation systems, playground equipment, and play areas of Broomfield's open space, parks, and athletic fields.   303.438.6334 

Streets Division is responsible for maintaining roadways (signs, marking, and traffic signals) throughout Broomfield as well as snow and ice control in the winter, and cleaning streets, ditches, and surface channels.   303.438.6334 

Utilities Division is responsible for maintaining the water distribution and wastewater collection systems.   303.438.6334 
 
Wastewater Division treats domestic, industrial, and commercial sewage and other wastewater to acceptable quality prior to discharge, and operates a sludge treatment facility. 303.438.6339 

Water Supply and Treatment Division is responsible for the delivery of raw water from water sources to the treatment plant and administers the delivery of treated water to Broomfield's water storage tanks and end users.  303.464.5600
