The Detention Division supports the mission and values of the Police Department by securely and humanely maintaining custody of those citizens under our supervision and by preparing them for re-integration into the community through services and programs.

About the Detention Center

The Police Department's Detention Division is overseen by Commander Cory Amend. The Detention Center, which opened on November 15, 2001, currently operates 80 beds, and an additional 138 beds are held in reserve for when the need arises. Only adults are housed in the Detention Center.

In 2012, a total of 2,090 arrestees were booked into the facility, and the average daily population was 59.

Ridge Parkway runs south from State Highway 128 (Interlocken Loop), 3.2 miles west of State Highway 121 (Wadsworth Parkway). The Detention Center is the last building on the right.
