Paper Shredding Program

Broomfield's Environmental Services division partners with Shred-It to provide safe and secure, on-site destruction of your Shredding eventconfidential documents such as tax, medical, and bank forms. Limit of three boxes weighing no more than 35 lbs. per box per vehicle. Please do not bring documents in bags.

Shred-It will also take paper already shredded. Up to three 32-gallon trash bags per vehicle is accepted.

The next 2014 event is scheduled for Saturday, Sep. 13, 9 a.m to 2 p.m. No appointment is necessary.

The location is the west parking lot of #6 Garden Center (Broomfield's Health and Human Services Building). This is located just north of Midway Boulevard. Use the parking lot entrance by Wells Fargo Bank and follow the signs.

Prescription Drug Take-Back Event

Saturday, September 27     10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Norman Smith Service Center
3001 W. 124 Ave. (just east of Lowell Boulevard)

No appointment is necessary.

Pill bottlesIt is not safe to flush prescription drugs down the toilet or throw them in the household trash. The City and County of Broomfield's Environmental Services Division and Police Department are partnering with the Drug Enforcement Administration in its Prescription Drug Take-Back Program.

Please bring unused, unwanted, or expired prescription drugs (liquid or solid-dosage) for safe disposal—no questions asked.

Drugs may be in original containers.

Intravenous solutions, injectables, chemotherapy drugs, and needles will NOT be accepted. Illicit substances such as marijuana or methamphetamine are not a part of this initiative.
