Green Zone Volunteers
Broomfield Days Zero-Waste Volunteers are the key to the success of our Zero Waste event! This is also an opportunity for organizations looking for exposure and volunteer work within the community.  We encourage you to wear company logo shirts and promote business while assisting with our zero waste stations (please no free giveaways).  You may create a business sign that can be placed at your station during your volunteer times, and we will have your companies name on a board at the Zero Waste Volunteer Center Booth to let people know that you are helping out.

Depending on the needs of the event planner, you can expect to:
  • Help event participants properly dispose of their waste at Zero Waste stations (i.e. educate them on how to sort compostables and commingled containers from trash)
  • Aid vendors in determining which items are acceptable to distribute, and helping them sort their materials during break-down
  • Monitor Zero Waste stations for contamination (a list of acceptable materials will be provided and a training session will be scheduled prior to the event)
    • Explain the concept of Zero Waste to event participants
