Broomfield Workforce Center Workforce Investment Act (WIA)The Workforce Investment Act (WIA) was designed to meet the needs of both a job seeker trying to further their career and for employers looking for qualified applicants for their jobs. Federal WIA funds are allocated to local Workforce Regions to design programs and services that best meet the needs of the local labor market. The goal of WIA is to help you acquire marketable skills that will lead to gainful employment. WIA can assist in paying up to $3,000 for short-term training of one year or less. Broomfield resident (verification will be required). For WIA to assist in paying for training, the training provider must be listed as approved at http://navigator.cdle.state.co.us/. Please note that WIA cannot reimburse for training costs already incurred. Approval from WIA must be received prior to starting a training program or enrolling in a semester program.
