"Joy," is a concert filled with music that celebrates love of life. Its cornerstone is Tchaikovsky's String Serenade, which he wrote not only to bring joy to the world but also to commemorate his idol, Mozart. This is complemented by a twentieth-century work by David Diamond (commissioned by Dimitri Mitropoulos to be written as a Happy Piece) and a well-known happy Divertimento by Mozart.

Winter Wake Up
The Mile High Freedom Band is proud to announce its musical antidote to the winter blues, "Winter Wake-Up!", a concert of light hearted scores sure to lift your spirits.
Music selections cover a range of concert band standards featuring Poet and Peasant Overture, William Byrd Suite, March of the Belgian Paratroopers, and Pineapple Poll Suite. This performance will also mark the debut of the Mile High Freedom Band's percussion ensemble.
The band's percussion ensemble will premiere a new composition, Double Helix, by band member Justin Hatcher. This piece showcases the breadth of percussion instruments, including both melodic instruments like bells, xylophone, chimes, and timpani as well as various non-tonal drums including tom-toms, snare, and parade drums.

Cultural Affairs and PHAMALY (Physically Handicapped Actors & Musical Artists League) present Cyrano. This will be a family-friendly version of the full play.
The Physically Handicapped Actors & Musical Artists League (PHAMALY) is a theatre group and touring company that performs throughout the greater Denver area. PHAMALY was formed in 1989 when a group of former students of the Boettcher School in Denver, Colorado, grew frustrated with the lack of theatrical opportunities for people living with disabilities, and decided to create a theatre company that would provide individuals with disabilities the opportunity to perform.
