  1. Free Class: Sprinkler Systems 101

    May 3, 9:00 AM - 11:30 AM @ 1 DesCombes Dr.

    This class will give you the basics of an irrigation system, including the components and layout. This is a hands-on opportunity to learn about lines, sprinkler heads, and controllers. This class is for those putting in new systems or for someone who wants to upgrade their old system to conserve water and save money. To ensure an efficient and long-term system, you will learn how to repair or adjust sprinkler heads and controllers. The class will end with a tour of the Xeriscape Garden for a demonstration of the irrigation system, including repairs.

  1. Children - Family Early Literacy Time

    Families of all ages are welcome, but the focus will be newborns - Pre-K. Stories, books, fingerplays and songs will focus on an early literacy skill, followed by a fun craft. Families will have the opportunity to practice activities they can use at home to learn early literacy skills needed for children to become successful learners in school. Please pick up a FREE ticket at the Children's Desk the morning of the program. Held on the first Saturday of the month.

    The City and County of Broomfield, Broomfield Open Space Foundation (BOSF), and Colorado Parks and Wildlife are sponsoring a FREE Fishing Derby at Tom Frost Reservoir for children ages 6-12 years old. Instruction, poles, and bait will be provided! Parent/guardian supervision and pre-registration required.
