  1. Colorado Young Sinfonia: Beethovan and Mozart

    March 9, 7:00 PM - 9:30 PM @ Broomfield Auditorium

    The Colorado Young Sinfonia, under the direction of Basil Vendryes, invites you to attend the second concert of the 2013-14 season. Enjoy performances of works by two of the greatest composers who ever lived—Symphony #40 by Mozart, perhaps his most well known, and the Symphony #1 of Beethoven. The CYS welcomes violinist Mark Rush, newest faculty member at the Lamont School of Music, for the Two Romances by Beethoven. Not to be missed!!!!!! MOZART - Symphony no. 40 in G minor BEETHOVEN -Two Romances for Violin (Mark Rush, violin) BEETHOVEN - Symphony no. 1 in C major

  1. Children's - Cats Hat March Reading Program

    March 1 - March 31 @ Children's Library

    All children up to age 12 are invited to participate in out Cat's Hat March Reading Program. Kids need to read 3 books at their level that they have never read before, write the titles of the books on a Cat's Hat tally sheet and put it in the cat's hat on the desk in the Children's Library. Non-readers may be read to. Starting Saturday, March 1, tally sheets can be picked up in the Children's Library or downloads from the Children's Library website at www.broomfieldchildrenslibrary.org, then click on Special Events. You may enter as many times as you like! All entries are due by closing on Monday, march 31. A drawing will be held after the contest ends to pick 5 winners. Winners will receive a colorful Cat's hat!
