responsible for issuing building permits, making inspections, reviewing
plans, and enforcing building codes for all construction in the City and
County of Broomfield.

Two public hearings will be held to consider variances on properties in
Sunnyslope Estates.
13420 Newton Court is requesting a variance to allow two additional horses on
the lot for a total of 8 horses.
13681 Stuart Court is requesting numerous variances to allow an oversize 2160
s.f. metal building to remain as constructed; to allow this building to be
used for a home occupation that exceeds the allowable 956 s.f. home occupation
area; and to allow 8 additional vehicles of patrons or employees of the home
occupation to be parked on the lot or street.
Weatherization Update
The City and County of Broomfield has received weatherization grant funding from
the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.
The Governor’s Energy Office (GEO) Weatherization Program partners with agencies
throughout the state to provide free weatherization services to income eligible

NEW! On-line public access is now available to search and review
building permits and inspections. Contractors and other permit
applicants may register to schedule inspections on-line. No
registration is necessary for public access information.

NEW - a mid-roof inspection is now required for all re-roof permits
when the roof is between 25% and 75% complete. Use telephone codes
109 for mid-roof and 105 for final roof inspections.
