The applicant for a permit shall provide an estimated
permit value at the time of application. Permit valuations shall include total
value of work, including materials and labor, for which the permit is being
issued, such as electrical, gas, mechanical, plumbing equipment, and permanent
systems. If, in the opinion of the building official, the valuation is
underestimated on the application, the permit shall be denied, unless the
applicant can show detailed estimates to meet the approval of the building
official. Separate fees are calculated
for each of the trades: general, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and
fire protection. A plan review fee is charged for commercial projects and
new single family homes, calculated at 65% of the general building permit fee
that shall be paid at the time of permit issuance.
Depending on the scope of the project, separate plan review fees for electrical,
plumbing and mechanical plans may be assessed in the same manner (65% of the
electrical, plumbing, or mechanical permit fee calculated above).
Use Tax and SEF are also collected, see page 2 of the
fee schedule.
Water and sewer license fees are determined based on the
anticipated annual water usage. Separate fees are charged for the actual
tap and for the meter. Please see page 3 of the
fee
schedule.
Feel free to call (303-438-6370) or fax (303-438-6207) for an estimate.
