Attention Preschool Families! "Nickelodeon presents STORYTIME LIVE" Visit the Children's Library anytime between August 1 and September 9th to enter for a drawing. One entry per family. Must be 18 to enter. Winners will be drawn at random on September 10th. Winning families will also receive 1 free parking pass to the show. Show dates are September 25 and 26. A monthly craft time for children ages 2 and up and a caregiver! Come to the Children's Story Room at any time during the designated hours and make a fun craft to take home! Usually on the first Friday of the month, unless otherwise noted on the monthly Children's Library Calendar of Events. No registration required.
Attention kindergarteners - 2nd graders: this program is especially for you, and is presented the third Saturday of each month. Each program involves books, activities and a special craft built around a theme. This is a program for children currently attending grades K - 2. Kindergarten guidelines are that children be at least 5 years old by September 2010 and in an elementary level Kindergarten program (not Pre-K) Saturday, October 16, 1-2 p.m. "Be A Jungle Explorer" * This is a program for children who are enrolled in kindergarten, first or second grade. Students in Kindergarten to grade 5 build confidence and fluency in their reading by reading aloud to trained therapy dogs! Bring your own book or choose one from the library and either Shiva or Magic will listen without correcting or judging. No registration required, but space is limited.
