Wellness Wednesdays are for children ages 2 through 6 years with parent(s), but the entire family is welcome. Childcare professionals and teachers may attend to learn a model to teach kids' health concepts and receive .75 contact hours.
Wednesday, February 15 - "Let's Play"

Super Saturdays 10:30 a.m. to noon. Eisenhower Room (upstairs). FREE. Super Saturdays are for childcare professionals, teachers and parents. Baby Story TimesFor ages newborn - 24 months with caregiver Thursdays 9:15 - 9:45 a.m. and repeated at 10 - 10:20 a.m. Accompanying adults will be encouraged to interact with their babies through books, songs, rhymes and bounces. No registration required.
Toddler Story TimesFor ages 21 - 35 months with caregiver
Mondays 10 - 10:25 a.m. or 10:45 - 11:10 a.m.

Preschool Story TimesFor ages 3 to 5 years Tuesdays 10:30 - 11 a.m. Thursdays 1:30 - 2 p.m.
Preschool storytimes are for children ages 3 - 5 years who can sit on their own, listen to age-appropriate stories and participate in fingerplays and songs. No registration required.
Family Story Times For all ages Thursdays 10:45 - 11:15 a.m. Join us for stories, songs and fingerplays for the whole family!
Family Early Literacy Time First Saturday of the month from 11 - 11:45 a.m.
Stories, books, fingerplays and songs will focus on an early literacy skill, followed by a craft. Families will have an opportunity to practice early literacy skills kids need to become successful learners in school.Family Early Literacy Time is free and open to all ages, but the focus will be for newborns - Prekindergarten. Pick up a ticket at the Children's Reference Desk the morning of the program and join us in the Story Time Room the first Saturday of the month. First Friday Make and TakeFor ages 2 and up
First Friday of the month, 2:30-4 p.m. February 3, March 2, April 6, May 4
A monthly craft time for children ages 2 and up and a caregiver! Come to the Children's Story Room at any time during the designated hours and make a fun craft to take home! Usually on the first Friday of the month, unless otherwise noted on the monthly Children's Library Calendar of Events. No registration required but supplies are limited.
Third Saturday Fun! For grades K-2
Attention kindergarteners - 2nd graders: this program is especially for you, and is presented the third Saturday of each month. Each program involves books, activities and a special craft built around a theme.

This is a program for children currently attending grades K - 2. Kindergarten guidelines are that children be at least 5 years old by September 2011 and in an elementary level Kindergarten program (not Pre-K)
Saturday, February 18, 1-2 p.m. "Leapin' Lizards - it's Leap Year!" Fun with books, games and a special craft!
Registration required, and begins on Saturday, January 21.
ARF (Afternoon Reading Fun) Thursdays February 9 and 23 and March 8 from 4 - 5 p.m.
Sassy can't wait to hear you read! Students in Kindergarten to Grade 5 build confidence and fluency in their reading by reading aloud to trained therapy dogs. Bring your own book or choose a library book and the dogs will listen without correcting or judging. This creates a relaxing reading environment where readers can build their confidence and fluency.
No registration required, but space is limited. Sign ups for the program begin at 3:45 in the Children's Library.
Cuddletime Concerts
Movement, participation and laughter for babies and toddlers, age newborn through 24 months, and their parent(s) and/or caregiver(s).

The Mamie Doud Eisenhower Public Library would like to tell you how happy we are to welcome your new baby as a member of our community. The Children’s Library would like to invite you to receive a few special gifts as part of our Baby Welcome Program.
If you are a Broomfield resident and have an infant age newborn to 1 year (12 months), please contact the Children’s Library to reserve your Baby Welcome Program gift packet. Each packet of free welcome materials includes a book, bookmark, gift bag, baby T-shirt and library related informational flyers. We would like to help your family have a positive beginning to a lifelong learning experience with books.
