Caregivers are introduced to early literacy skills they can practice with their children to prepare them for successful learning when they enter school.
Toddler Story Time is planned to support the special developmental needs of toddlers. Registration is required to attend Toddler Story Time; drop-ins will not be accepted. View the library story time schedule or other programs that do not require registration.
**Beginning on February 27 & March 1 participants will pick up a ticket at the Children’s desk on story time mornings instead of pre-registering for a spot in Toddler Story Time. This will be a trial procedure as we look for better ways to accommodate our patrons’ needs.
| Preschool Story Time
Ages: 3 - 5 years
Times: Tuesdays from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Thursdays from 1:30 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Throughout this story time, preschoolers enjoy stories and songs that develop early literacy skills and foster curiosity. This program is reserved for children ages three to five who can sit on their own and comfortably participate in a variety of literature based activities geared towards preparing children for learning to read. Asking preschoolers to attend without their caregivers helps to develop a sense of independence that will be needed as they start school.
